Comprehensive Protection for Your GraphQL Queries
Airlock Microgateway now offers enhanced protection for GraphQL, a modern query language for APIs, providing greater flexibility and security for your API queries.
Through various security checks, Airlock Microgateway protects your APIs from attacks and ensures their availability. It checks, among other things, the length and recursion depth of GraphQL queries to prevent denial-of-service attacks and overloads of your API servers. Additionally, Airlock Microgateway protects all GraphQL attributes with its proven deny rules, preventing unauthorized access and increasing the security of your data. Whether you rely on REST APIs or use GraphQL, your APIs are always optimally protected with Airlock Microgateway!
New Installation Modes: Own, Single, and Multi-Namespace
With Microgateway 4.3, the new installation modes "Own-Namespace," "Single-Namespace," and "Multi-Namespace" are available. These modes offer administrators the flexibility to run different Microgateway versions within the same Kubernetes cluster, enabling upgrades without interruption.
The new installation modes also allow you to isolate different customers or projects, avoiding unwanted side effects and increasing security.
The "Own-Namespace" installation mode does not require cluster-wide permissions (RBAC) and simplifies the management and access to resources within a single namespace.
Please note: This new feature is only available in the Premium Edition. The Community Edition continues to support only the "All Namespace" installation mode.
Dashboards with Grafana – More Control for Your Microservices
Monitor the status of your microgateways and keep an eye on blocked requests with our new Grafana dashboards! These dashboards, which can be easily deployed with the Helm chart, facilitate daily monitoring and management of your microservices, allowing you to respond to issues more quickly and efficiently.
The simple installation and upgrade process ensures smooth integration into your existing infrastructure, helping you to keep your microservices under control at all times.
Secure Authentication with OIDC Standards
OpenID Connect (OIDC) is an open standard that allows clients to verify a user's identity using an authentication server and receive profile information interoperably.
Since version 4.2, you have been able to configure Airlock Microgateway as an OIDC Relying Party (RP), ensuring that only authenticated users can access protected applications or APIs. In version 4.3, we have expanded Microgateway with a session store where ID tokens and access tokens can now be securely stored.
Stay tuned: The new session store lays the foundation for future exciting features. We will keep you informed!
