Under the motto “Winning Together”, our first Airlock Partner Event took place on January 15–16, 2025, on the snow-covered Stoos – and it was a great success. Our strategy for 2025+
From the very beginning, excitement was in the air. After a warm welcome by Roman Hugelshofer, we kicked off with an in-depth look at the latest and upcoming developments around Airlock and the future of our solutions. Our product management team presented key trends and topics that will shape our focus in 2025 and beyond—not only to future-proof our IAM and WAAP solutions, but also to optimally support our partners.
Dani Estermann outlined the strategic vision for 2025+, highlighting how Airlock is preparing for emerging challenges such as AI, bots, and decentralized identities (SSI). The two guiding principles “Identity First” and “Partners First” were emphasized as the foundation of our future direction.
Stefan Dietiker summarized the most important advancements in Web Application and API Protection (WAAP), focusing on automation, protection against AI-driven threats and bots, and our ongoing preparation for Cryptographically Relevant Quantum Computers (CRQC).
Marc Bütikofer presented key developments in customer Identity and Access Management (cIAM) with a clear focus on flexibility, seamless integration, automation, and modern authentication methods. He highlighted the shift towards passwordless authentication as well as the growing importance of Self-Sovereign Identities (SSI).
Paul Schaffner introduced the latest updates to the Airlock Partner Program 2025, including the launch of SaaS licensing and the Airlock Partner Tech Community, designed to foster stronger collaboration among partners.
Team building and networking in a winter setting
After an inspiring morning session and a lunch break overlooking snow-covered mountains, it was time for a change of scenery. The outdoor team-building event Snow and Glory: Olympic Winter Games provided the perfect opportunity for partners to connect in a relaxed setting and compete in friendly challenges.
Later in the afternoon, two interactive breakout sessions took place. In the Airlock Partner Tech Community session, participants shared valuable input in a collaborative workshop, helping us shape future developments. The second session focused on best practices for selling Airlock solutions, providing key strategies for effectively positioning Airlock and demonstrating value to customers.
Airlock Partner Awards
Afterwards, we wrapped up the evening with a cozy dinner together. The highlight of the evening was the ceremonial presentation of the partner awards, which honor outstanding partners for their special commitment:
- Looptech for Cybersecurity: Best Airlock Partner – New Business
- Swisscom: Best Airlock Partner – Sales Activities & 2FA
- Thinking Objects: Airlock Special Award – Largest Deal Size
- Abdullah Hadadi, Looptech for Cybersecurity: Best Airlock Partner Sales – New Business
Day 2: Future-proof solutions for partners
The second day was all about new technologies and opportunities, giving partners insights into how we are enhancing our services and how they can leverage these innovations for future success.
Marc-André Dumont presented the strategy behind Airlock SaaS, highlighting benefits like automated scaling, continuous updates, and disaster recovery. The discussion centered around how partners can utilize Airlock SaaS as Managed Service Providers.
The live demo of the Airlock Microgateway by Stefan Braun and Stefan Dietiker showcased its seamless integration into Kubernetes environments, with a strong focus on Zero Trust, API and microservice security, and IAM integration.
We were also particularly excited about the short presentations by our partners. ECDG, Looptech, PXL Vision, Isovalent, essendi and Swisscompresented their success stories and anecdotes with the Airlock solutions and the Airlock team to the gathered audience.
A special highlight was the recognition from Swisscom, which honored us with an award during the partner sessions for 15 years of successful partnership. Paul Schaffner accepted the award on behalf of the entire team—a strong testament to our long-standing and successful collaboration.
After lunch, we wrapped up the event with a forward-looking session focusing on marketing and sales initiatives. Topics included joint campaigns, expanded partner support, and new self-service offerings.
