Tort(o)ure

This more athletic snowshoe hike promises an alpine winter experience with magnificent views from start to finish. Starting at around 1,300 meters above sea level, the trail leads us on a gentle ascent to the middle station of the Fronalpstock chairlift.

From there, we continue uphill along the trail, parallel to the sledge run, enjoying impressive panoramic views along the way. On a clear day, the view opens up far beyond the Schwyz valley basin and the sparkling Lake Lucerne. Step by step, the striking summit draws closer until we finally reach the Fronalpstock at 1,922 m.

Once at the top, we are treated to well-deserved refreshments (dinner & awards) at the Fronalpstock Hotel | Restaurant. Refreshed and filled with unforgettable impressions, we then take the two chairlifts back down to the valley – refreshed, inspired, and enriched by a winter Alpine adventure.
