Hike

This leisurely yet scenic snowshoe hike starts at the Mettlen midway station at around 1,500 meters above sea level. Shortly after setting off, we can enjoy the clear mountain air and magnificent views of the surrounding peaks.

The trail leads us gently uphill along the toboggan run. Again and again, wide panoramic views open up – when visibility is good, we can see the Schwyz valley basin and the sparkling Lake Lucerne deep below us. The higher we climb, the more impressive the panorama becomes. The trail offers several small rest stops to pause and enjoy the mountain scenery before we reach the Fronalpstock summit at 1,922 m.

At our destination, we will enjoy a well-deserved meal (dinner & awards) at the Fronalpstock Hotel | Restaurant. Refueled and with unforgettable impressions, we will then take the two chairlifts back down to the valley – refreshed, inspired, and enriched by a winter Alpine adventure.
