Airlock IAM Engineer

Training goals

After completing this training, participants have an understanding of the general concept of authentication and identity management services, and specifically of Airlock IAM. They know how to install, configure and administrate Airlock IAM. They also have a good understanding of the various configuration possibilities.

Administrative information

The training is taught by a member of Ergon’s Airlock Professional Services team. It consists of 3 days, including extensive hands-on practical exercises and takes place at Ergon’s premises at Merkurstrasse 43, 8032 Zurich.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of the following topics is required:

  • authentication/authorization
  • SSL certificates
  • regular expressions
  • technical expressions like:
    • LDAP, MS-AD
    • HTTP, HTTPS
    • SSL, encryption
    • HTML, CSS
    • Windows
  • Airlock WAF knowledge is not required!

Certification

To achieve AIE certification, participation in the Airlock IAM Engineer (AIE) training is recommended but not mandatory. Typical certification candidates are system administrators, network engineers and system integrators.

The examination lasts 60 minutes and usually takes place during the last day of the AIE training. It consists of a multiple choice test and covers all topics from the AIE training. Upon successful completion of the certification, the participant will receive his or her Airlock IAM Engineer (AIE) certificate, which is valid for 3 years.
