Lightening does strike twice. We have won the International Emmy for best Digital Program - Children & Young People.
Well done to all the team at Airlock, Raw TV and C4 Education. I think the expression is...woot!
Pleased to report our second nomination for an International Emmy for Battlefront II (Digital Program - Children and Young people). We share the nomination with Raw TV - hope we can repeat the success of the first series.
Channel 4’s BAFTA award-winning documentary returns for a Christmas special which will see births being tracked live over the Christmas period. Can you see what they are doing here? The site has been updated to support this and a forthcoming second series with the integration of Facebook & Twitter functionality.
Airlock picked up an award at this year's BIMA's. Together with Raw Television we won the Social Media award for the work we've done on Battlefront II for Channel 4. A huge congrats to everyone involved.
Go forth and campaign and may the world rapidly become a better place. We are very pleased to say that C4's Battlefront II is now live. The next chapter in the Battlefront digital odyssey sees a project with even more social media integration, more ways to to get involved, more video and games as well as a platform to start and run your own campaign. We look forward to a busy year of much change.
Alas we did not walk away with one of the deceptively heavy gongs at last night's BAFTAs for our work on C4's 'One Born Every Minute'. However congratulations to Dragonfly for doing the business with the TV show. It was a great night either way and we hope to be back next year with a fraction more success...
Ever wanted to know what life is really like on a Maternity Ward? Check out our new work for Channel 4 that launched this week. The site is a partner project to the new TV series, 'One Born Every Minute' that airs later this month and reveals the ins and outs of birth as it happens - no airbrushing, the real thing. The site covers a broad range of topics and issues through extensive video content and a number of fun, engaging content pieces. It has been an amazing project to work on, so we hope you enjoy it.
The nominations for this year's BIMA awards have been announced and we're happy to say that for the second year running we're up for an award. Battlefront has been nominated in the best website category. The competition is stiff (we're up against the iPlayer!) but we reckon we've got a shot at it.
We're having to make room in the trophy cabinet to fit in all the awards that Battlefront keeps winning. This week it was awarded best Youth Programme at the 30th Banff World Television Awards (“The Rockies”). Next week we're up for an RTS Education Award back home in Blighty. Keep 'em coming.
If the Emmy wasn't enough, we've now been shortlisted in the Interactive Innovation category for this years BAFTAs. To be honest we're not sure we have the shelf space...
Battlefront has won the Digital Emmy® Award for Children and Young People last night at MIP in Cannes. Airlock and Raw TV produced the show for Channel 4, which follows and supports 20 young campaigners as they try to change the world. We are most happy.
Time to get those Tuxedos to the dry cleaners. We've been nominated for this years Digital Emmy Awards being held in Cannes later this month. Battlefront has been shortlisted in the 'children and young people' category. The competition's strong but we think we've got a good chance. Wish us luck.
We're working on a new multi-platform project with Channel 4 Education and Raw called Battlefront.
Battlefront aims to help young people get their voices heard as they campaign about issues they really care about. The website both follows the progress of 20 young campaigners as well as actively promoting their campaigns. It also provides other would-be campaigners with information on how to launch a successful campaign of their own.
